Reneé Elise Goldsberry

Include women in the sequel. Work!

This kept me going in the exam phase. Hamilton in general. My obsession with this musical has kept going for four months now (And then I discovered In the Heights. I’m lost in musical theatre). I think I will dedicate a whole post to the effects it had on me, it is such an amazing piece of art. And Renee is wonderful. Obviously.

Truly Scrumptious

Carrie Hope Fletcher now plays in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and she looks just gorgeous, I had to draw her!

Eponine (Samantha Barks)

A couple of weeks ago I rewatched the film ‘Les Miserables’ which is like a lot of you can surely also tell not as good as the actual musical but still an impressive one. So now I’m a bit obsessed with the soundtrack and the music itself and as the musical has always been my favourite, I drew Samantha Barks as Eponine.

I like the character a lot, she’s so sad but also so happy when Marius is happy and because she does not die alone… The story and life of this character is so incredibly sad, however I love it very much.

Please tell me what’s your favourite song from ‘Les Miserables’, mine at the moment is probably ‘Stars’ sung by Inspector Javert.

Yet another update for you: My school time is over, I’ve finished my Abitur with a last final today, it was English oral exam. Now just practising for my IELTS test I need for University, because I’m German and English is not my mother tongue. I really want to study in English though.

I’m incredibly happy right now and relieved and I hope you’re too, enjoy my little drawing!!! xx Samantha Barks

Into the Woods – The Witch

Yesterday evening I saw ‘Into the Woods’ with my friends and it was brilliant, I really really loved it. Stephen Sondheim’s music is so amazing and I loved the different characters very much – especially the witch who was acted by Meryl Streep. Her voice is stunning and she played this role so well.

2nd WP Anniversary and Meryl+Amanda aka Queen and Princess

(Wow that’s a long title :D)

So today is my 2nd WordPress Anniversary and this is just soo cool – I never even imagined that blogging would be so wonderful and so many of you would comment and like my little sketches… I really appreciate all of them and if you could see me sometimes when I read something you wrote, well let’s say I’m freaking out a bit.. (Running through the house, laughing, singing, something like that..)

I really want to thank you for all the support you give me, it means so so much to me and now there’s a gift I have for you 🙂

It’s Meryl Streep the Queen of the Queens and Amanda Seyfried – the princess 😉 In my all time favourite ‘happiness’ film I watch when I’m sad – Mamma Mia. I really love that scene when she’s getting ready for her wedding and her mother paints her toenails.. They sing ‘Slipping through my fingers’ look at old photographs and that’s just so beautiful..

That’s all I have to say for today, I hope you enjoy my blog and if you like, give me some feedback from time to time.

Love you all xx

Helena Bonham Carter

Oh that woman, so powerful, so brilliant!! She has a fantastic voice and my favourite scene with her is in Harry Potter as Bellatrix. She kills Sirius, I cry nearly every time but after he has vanished she laughs so evil and screams ‘I killed Sirius Black’. Wow.

This is a little sketch I did with the polychromos, took me an hour I think 🙂
